Asparagus Seed - How to grow Asparagus ?

Asparagus Seed, organic, Non-GMO. Asparagus requires about three years from seed to harvest, but will continue to produce more vegetable for the next 40 years if the bed is maintained properly. Start heirloom asparagus seeds early in a location with full sun in well drained soil.  Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep and 1-2 inches from the next seed. 

The first year the stalks will be thin, but will thicken up each year until full sized around year 3.  The plant will grow a new stem plant each day (or two) that can be harvested by cutting.
