This finely curled and compact herb has long, stiff, upright stems with dark green, double and tripled curled leaves. Use it fresh or dried for flavoring savory dishes. The attractive, compact plants do well in containers or in the garden and overwinter in most places. Flavorful leaves and roots for garnish and cooking. Use fresh or dried in a variety of dishes. Medicinal: A bitter, aromatic, and diuretic herb that stimulates the digestive process. SOWING: Sow seed directly outdoors from as soon as soil is workable. Cover with 1/8 inch fine soil. SPACING: Leave 16 to 18 inches between rows. THINNING: Thin 4 to 8 inches apart when seedlings are 2 inches high. Does not transplant well. GERMINATION: 2 to 4 weeks depending upon soil and weather conditions. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
